The Lowe-MAX™ Award

The Lowe-MAX™ Award stands for Mountain Adventure eXcellence. The honor pays tribute to the legacy of the Lowe family. It began when Ralph Lowe taught his sons and daughters about responsible mountain outdoor adventures. Later his son Jeff Lowe spent a lifetime of perfecting the art of adventure as taught by his father and shared his knowledge with others.

In every area human striving, there are certain people who through the course of their vision, personality, and creative acts influence the evolutionary arc of that endeavor. In the realm of mountain adventure, this year, we have created a special award which we will call the LifeClimb™ Achievement Award.
