With each passing day, 46-year-old Bill Barkeley loses more and more of his hearing and vision due to a rare genetic disease called Usher Syndrome. Before going completely blind, Barkeley will attempt to summit Mount Kilimanjaro so that he can see Africa from its highest peak.
Director Josh Levine
Josh Levine lives and works in New York City as a line producer for independent feature films and commercials. Interested in doing something a little different he joined the inaugural Serac Adventure Film School for their trip to Mt. Kilimanjaro, where he met and filmed Bill Barkeley, the subject of “Walk Your Own Path”. 19,340 vertical feet later he was a little tired but very happy.
