“King Lines” follows Chris Sharma’s quest to climb some of the most difficult and outrageous previously unclimbed rock formations around the world. Chris Sharma is one of the strongest rock climbers in the world. For the past decade, he has dominated his sport, and at 26 years old, the Santa Cruz, California native is just hitting his stride. Chris’ first stop, in September 2006, was the Mediterranean island of Mallorca, where, ropeless, he climbed a very hard and most spectacular route on a massive rock arch surrounded by sea. The film crew then follows Sharma to the remote jungle plateaus of Venezuela, the pristine walls of the American Southwest, and the limestone labyrinths of Europe, as he searches for the planet’s greatest climbs. Along the way, Chris is joined by fellow climbers, BASE jumpers and other adventure junkies. The film captures the compelling private personality of the man who has constantly redefined the cutting edge of his amazing sport.
