Director Alex Lavigne

Alex LavigneNorth Vancouver filmmaker Alexander Lavigne delivers again… It was a very busy year for this local talent, producing two new full-length films in 2007. In addition to “Crux”, Alex co-created “Higher Ground” with partner Chris Alstrin. “Higher Ground”, a climbing documentary, spotlights some of the continent's most inaccessible terrain and the people who thrive there. A lens into their boundary-breaking passion illustrates what mountain culture is, an obsession.
Lavigne is presently taking some time off this winter to ski-tour, ice climb and spend time with his family.
