Olivier Higgins and Mélanie Carrier have chosen to ride their bicycles from Mongolia to Culcutta at the mouth of the Ganges in India, passing through Xinjiang, the Taklamakan Desert, Tibet and Nepal for a total of more than 8000 kilometers. For sure, they are going to discover the world, but above all, they are going to discover themselves. Who are they? What do they want? What is their place in this world? Maybe, between some encounters, an obstacles and a discovery, this daring journey will bring them to a reflection… Do we not all have a common ‘Asiemut’? Directors Olivier Higgins & Mélanie CarrierOlivier Higgins and Mélanie Carrier met each other at the age of fourteen. Both are biologists and their passion for the world and other cultures brought them around the world. Over the past six years, their studies, work, climbing and environment projects have kept them away from home. Always carrying a camera with them, their passion for film started. Recently they decided to unify their passions and use adventure and video to share their values, thus their first film, ‘Asiemut’ was born.
